Seluvis’s secret room can be found beneath some illusory flooring in between Renna and Ranni’s Rise in the Three Sisters section of Caria Manor. Attacking the pavement in question will open up access to players, letting them travel downward into the basement.
Players will know they are at the correct location of Seluvis’s secret room if they’ve spotted aristocrats wielding staffs nearby. They are not exactly difficult enemies, and appearing in an area that is mostly void of enemies serves more as a tell as opposed to being obstacles in the player’s way. I found it easy to defeat these enemies with a few swings of my sword.
Check out the image below for the exact location of Seluvis’s basement.
Make sure to avoid the giant dragon in the area unless you dare to fight it. I made the mistake of getting too close and having to start over from the last Site of Grace after dying.
After venturing into Seluvis’s secret room, players should immediately be able to ascertain why exactly it is that Seluvis has entrusted them with the duties of delivering potions to other individuals and the potential consequence of such deeds. Littered about the grounds of Seluvis’s basement are motionless husks of test subjects Seluvis has conducted experimented upon. This matter is only made more apparent by the illusionary wall at the end of Seluvis’s secret room, depicting the outcome of the player’s decision regarding their potion delivery quest.
Now that players are made aware of the goings-on beneath the ground of the Three Sisters, they’re free to use that knowledge as leverage. Head into Seluvis’s Rise and converse with Seluvis; a new dialogue option should have opened up that would allow players to inquire why Seluvis’s secret room even exists. Seluvis, upon hearing such inquiries, will scold the player for their breach of personal privacy but will acquiesce to the player’s demands for a puppet if asked.
Seluvis will give players the option to pick from his collection freely. The choices available include Finger Maiden Therolina Puppet, Jarwight Puppet, and Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet. I recommend picking Jarwight Puppet, which I found to be the strongest out of the options.
Players don’t have to contemplate their choices too much if they’ve collected starlight shards during their exploration of the Lands Between, since the remaining puppets will be made available to the player later down the line, with starlight shards being the trading currency.
It is important to note that this opportunity to confront Seluvis about his puppet room will become void after substantial progression is made through Ranni’s storyline. If the player’s already acquired the secret treasure of Nokron as Ranni desired, Seluvis will be found dead at his tower, with his corpse lootable for the Preceptor Set and his Bell Bearing containing the sorceries you’ve yet to purchase. After the fact, his corpse can still be interacted with as a way for players to obtain puppets, again, using starlight shards. Players should also check up on Pidia, as there’s some event that’s also occurred on his end.
Aside from Seluvis’s shop and secret shop, players can also find the following items:
Here are the tables with items you can buy from Seluvis’s shop and his secret shop:
Item | Type | Requirements | Price |
---|---|---|---|
Carian Phalanx | Sorceries | None | 12000 runes |

Item | Type | Requirements | Price |

Jarwight Puppet | Ashes | None | 3 Starlight Shards |
Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet | Ashes | Give Seluvis’s Potion to Nepheli Loux | 5 Starlight Shards |
Dung Eater Puppet | Ashes | Give Seluvis’s Potion to Dung Eater | 5 Starlight Shards |
Preceptor Seluvis is a mysterious figure in Elden Ring, serving Ranni the Witch. Although this sorcerer will help you by providing Ashes and Sorceries, he is anything but thrilled by his mistress’s decision to enlist “a Tarnished like you”.

VC is the official in-game currency of NBA 2K24 and can be used for various in-game purchases, such as accessories and clothes. To start, you can use VC to purchase apparel and signature animation packages in the MyCareer Mode and open new packs in MyTeam mode.
Answering each answer correctly will reward you with around 200 to 300 VC. In other words, you can earn about 3600 VC per episode, which is a good amount!
Outside of 2KTV, there are other ways to acquire VC. Players can get VC by playing online matches or progressing through the MyCareer storyline. Additionally, players can purchase VC with real-world money, although it can be costly.
]]>I’m all for it if it’s done right, perfectly executed with both the Final Fantasy 7 remake and the big hits of the Resident Evil series, but not so much in The Last of Us Part 1. It’s a fine line these developers need to walk, where they can either fumble the idea of a remake entirely or nail it on the head to make something great even more amazing. This is why I am always skeptical when I hear of a remake in the works of a game that is so beloved by the gaming community. Enter Persona 3 Reload.
Persona 3 is the entry of the Persona franchise that put the series on the map. It’s the one that got people talking about Persona in general and made it its recognizable name today. Why completely remake something perfect for most of the fans of your series? Why not leave something great alone? It’s the question mentioned earlier: “Can there ever be too much of a good thing?”
The answer is no, according to Atlus, considering Reload is the fourth version of the game. And you know what? I think I agree with them because Persona 3 Reload is not only a superb remake of one of the best JRPGs out there, but also a game that is entirely its own thing. It sticks to its roots while being a completely different experience, making you sometimes forget you’re playing a reimagining of a game that came out almost 20 years ago. Persona 3 Reload was made with love, care, and passion for the series’ fanbase, and I can’t thank Atlus enough for making it happen.
When I say this remake is entirely its own thing, you shouldn’t think it strays away from the original game because it doesn’t. Persona 3 Reload improves on the original while sticking to the source material through its story beats, social links, and school management system. It’s all about quality-of-life inclusions in Persona 3 Reload that lead to a definitive version of a masterclass JRPG for modern times. Anything you can remember and love from Persona 3 back in 2007 has been improved, reworked, and rebuilt from the ground up to make a two-decades-old game feel like a next-generation entry.
This is especially true in its additions to the combat system. Combat still feels like the original game but includes features and mechanics that make it more fun and addictive. For example, “Theurgy” is a new addition inspired by Persona 5’s “Showtime” that grants everyone in your party a special attack that can turn the tides of a battle. Theurgy is a complex mechanic that revolves around a gauge that can only be built up by performing specific actions during battle. Each party member has a different requirement for the Theurgy build-up, putting strategic thinking at the forefront instead of just simply selecting an attack.
For example, if you want to build up Yukari’s Thuergy gauge, you must continue to heal the party, or the gauge will stay stagnant. On the other hand, the leader must continue using Persona skills to reach “max” on Theurgy for the ability to become available. I found myself planning each battle around the requirements of filling the Theurgy bar, which made each party member’s turn more meaningful.
Combat is not the only thing that got improvements, as you’ll find many within the game’s Social Link system. All social link events are now fully voiced, removing the hassle of reading every line of dialogue. This simple addition is very welcomed and more important than you would think, as it makes conversations more engaging and adds more to the characters of Persona 3. It makes you notice how vastly different all the characters in the game are.
With fully voiced social links, you learn that each character has their own personality, tone, and mannerisms that genuinely make you feel like you’re getting close to these people throughout the game’s calendar year. The playfulness of Maiko, the shyness of Chihiro, the elderly couple’s forgetfulness, Kenji’s sarcastic behavior, etc, are all brought to life with voice acting, making their stories more impactful and believable.
It wouldn’t be a remake without enhancements to the graphics and visuals, and Persona 3 Reload is nothing short of extraordinary in that regard. The game is simply beautiful. Tartarus is more enhanced, emphasizing a darker tone, while the mall area and dorm are brighter, graphically looking up to par with the more recent Persona 5. It still has that anime and manga feel like the original version, but it’s scaled up with more textures and details, adding its own unique charm that only newer Persona games can pull off. Atlus knew what it was doing here.
Not only is the world rebuilt to pop on screen, but character models also got a rework. Their base design looks similar to the original, with the exception of new outfits, but they are more alive and detailed than ever. For instance, they show more range in their emotions now during social link events. Blushing, fear, shock, sadness — all emotions are now shown in Persona 3’s characters. Since the Persona series has always been about the human condition, detailing emotions further is a brilliant touch that makes the game even more beautiful than it was.
The improvements of Persona 3 Reload help give the story more spotlight and the praise it truly deserves. In case you aren’t familiar with the original, without spoilers, Persona 3 is about high schoolers navigating everyday life as they fight an unnerving darkness that appears at midnight. It sounds like a straightforward premise, but what seems simple soon becomes a story with much deeper meaning than anyone would expect. It slowly morphs into a story about how powerful the human spirit can be, learning about death and how to cope with it, the importance of friendship, and overcoming fears of life in general. Any person from all walks of life will find something to relate to in the powerful message the game exudes.
The story is the same in the remake as in the original, but the simple additions make it feel more real. As previously mentioned, fully voice-acted social events, enhanced graphics, and a larger range of personality for the characters are present in Persona 3 Reload. All of these additions make the game’s deeper meaning stand out way more than it did in the original.
And that is where Reload shines the most — in its ability to tell the same story as the original but make it hit that much harder. This game will hit you like a truck if you let it as you explore your mortality and the struggles one usually has to find meaning in life. I recommend anyone who plays Persona 3 Reload to take a moment and think critically about its story beats, as you’ll find a lot to unwrap, and once you do, you’ll appreciate the entire game that much more.
Persona 3 Reload is a remake done right. Everything you love about the original game is improved upon, leading to a new experience that feels fresh and brand new while not forgetting its source material. Visual enhancements, inclusions of addicting combat mechanics, more enjoyable social links — this game has it all. This is the definitive way to play the beloved JRPG, and once you get your hands on it, you won’t ever want to return to the original.
There’s a certain charm in Persona 3 Reload that I don’t think many series have the potential to replicate. You start to feel for these characters as you navigate the hardships of everyday life. Rough upbringings, determination to succeed in school, looking out for one another, and most importantly, the power of the human spirit. This is what the Persona series has always been about and Persona 3 Reload knows this, clearly shown in the improvements added to the almost 20-year-old game. Atlus has showcased what a remake can and should be.
]]>Raising Social Stats in Persona 3 Reload is very important as it can open new opportunities for Social Links and new accessibility in everyday life outside of Tartarus. For example, raising Courage and Charm will allow the player to get hired for higher-paying jobs. Meanwhile, raising Academics will result in a better outcome for exams.
Raising the academic social stat in Persona 3 Reload can take some work, but a few activities can help raise it quickly. The fastest way to raise academics is to participate in study groups with your dorm mates during midterms and finals. You will know when a study session is happening when your dorm mates are gathered at the table with a blue logo above them.
Players can also raise their academic and social status fairly quickly by studying in the library or dorm rooms. Periodically, as you play, especially around exam time, visit the library and study to raise academics fast.
The fastest way to raise courage in Persona 3 Reload is by working jobs at the mall. Periodically, when you have no other activities to do or don’t plan on going to Tarturus, check your messages to see if there is a job opening. Working through the night can be a speedy way to raise your courage.
Players can also raise their courage social stat fast by sleeping in class, trying new food at Wild-Duck Burger, or watching a movie at Screen Shot. Screen Shot is the most efficient of the three as it can provide two points towards courage; you just have to ensure that the correct movie is playing. Usually, horror movies will raise courage.

The fastest way to raise Charm in Persona 3 Reload is by answering questions correctly in class. While some of the questions are difficult, many require common sense. Make sure to always pay attention to class instead of fast-forwarding through it so you have a better chance of answering correctly.
Similar to courage, players can increase their charm stat quickly by working jobs at night. For example, the first job you will get is at the Chagall Cafe, which can be a great way to raise charm when you don’t explore Tartarus. Speaking of Chagall Cafe, you can raise charm by drinking coffee there too!
]]>Starting Chihiro Fushimi’s Social Link is crucial as it unlocks one of the many Persona Arcanas in the game.
Players can start Chihiro Fushimi’s Social Link once they join the Student Council, which becomes available in early May. Chihiro is also part of the Student Council, and this marks the first time you will officially meet her in Persona 3 Reload.
After joining the Student Council, you can find Chihiro Fushimi hanging out on the second floor right outside your classroom on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. To officially unlock her Social Link, you must speak to her a total of four times until she is finally willing to hang out with you. This may take a while, considering she can only be found three out of seven days of the week, but keep yourself occupied with other Social Links until then.
After speaking to Chihiro four times and hanging out with her at least once, you will unlock her Social Link and the Justice Persona Arcana. To rank up in her Social Link, respond to her messages or see her in her usual spot on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays and make plans to hang out.

While becoming acquainted with Chihiro is similar in Reload to what it was in Portable, the number of times has been increased. Initially, you had to speak to her only three times to start the Social Link.
Joining the Student Council in Persona 3 Reload is a straightforward process. Don’t worry about missing the chance to join the Student Council, as it is unmissable and offered to the player as part of the main story. Joining the Student Council will unlock a new Social Link with Hidetoshi Odagiri and unlock the Emporer Arcana.
]]>There are three main ways to get Twilight Fragments in Persona 3 Reload. Of the three methods, one offers Twilight Fragments in abundance and should be your primary focus when farming for the rare item. Below we will discuss each method.
First and foremost, players can find Twilight Fragments in Persona 3 Reload by periodically exploring the game’s map throughout the week. Sometimes, you will find a shiny blue object on the ground while exploring. These are Twilight Fragments. Nine times out of ten, it is only one Twilight Fragment per blue shiny object, but it’s still worth keeping an eye out for them.
Another way to get Twilight Fragments in Persona 3 Reload is by destroying objects found within Tartarus. There are two types of destructible objects in Tartarus, which are represented by colors: orange and blue. Orange will contain items to sell to the Police Station and consumables, while the Blue and larger ones will contain Twilight Fragments. Ensure you thoroughly explore each floor of Tartarus to maximize the number of Twilight Fragments you find.
Related: Where to Find Food and a Drink for Maiko in Persona 3 Reload
The last way to get Twilight Fragments in Persona 3 Reload, and the best way, is by talking to Elizabeth as you progress through the game. As you progress to higher floors in Tartarus and progress through the main story, you can check in with Elizabeth at the Velvet Room. She will periodically mention, “I have something for you.” She will usually hand over 3 to 7 Twilight Fragments. The number rises the longer you wait to speak with her!
You will know when Elizabeth has something for you when there is a blue exclamation mark above her head. The blue exclamation mark can sometimes mean she has new requests (side quests) for you, but it often means she has Twilight Fragments for you.
Twilight Fragments are mainly used to open rare treasure chests found within Tartarus. You can see what the chests look like in the image above.
Additionally, players can use Twilight Fragments when interacting with clocks found within Tartarus. Clocks will fully replenish your party’s HP and SP, making them valuable for long runs in Tartarus. The downfall is that they usually require around seven Twilight Fragments, which is a steep asking price.
There you have it: how to get Twilight Fragments in Persona 3 Reload. I recommend you save all your Twilight Fragments for treasure chests rather than spend them on the clocks. You may miss out on valuable rewards if you waste them on clocks, and since Twilight Fragments are so rare, it’s wise to save as much as possible.
]]>Players will first encounter Maiko in Persona 3 Reload in May after overhearing some students talking about an upset girl at the shrine. The upset girl is Maiko, who you can speak to in an attempt to cheer her up. When speaking with her, she will mention how she wants to eat something “round, hot, and soft.”
The food you need to find for Maiko in Persona 3 Reload is a “Weird Takoyaki” from Octopia. Octopia is located at the Iwatodai Station Strip Mall, so head there and purchase one Weird Takoyaki for 400 Yen.
Once you bring the Weird Takoyaki to Maiko at the shrine, she is still not satisfied. She will then ask you to bring her a drink. Read the following section to learn how to find a drink for Maiko in Persona 3 Reload.
The drink Maiko wants from players in Persona 3 Reload is a Mad Bull, which can easily be purchased from any Vending Machine in the dormitory. When I purchased a Mad Bull, it only cost me 110 Yen, a low price to complete Maiko’s quest.
After purchasing the Mad Bull drink, return to Maiko and give it to her. She will be very pleased and satisfied with your efforts, officially allowing you to start her Social Link. After completing Maiko’s requests, you will unlock the Hanged Arcana.
If you return to Maiko late, perhaps from doing other activities, and she is not there — don’t worry. Maiko only appears at the shrine every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. If you have the food or drink she wants and it is a different day than the ones mentioned, keep busy until you progress to one of the correct days.
]]>In this guide, we go over all the difficulty levels in Persona 3 Reload. You will learn the differences between each difficulty and we’ll explain which is best for you.
Persona 3 Reload’s five difficulties are as follows: Peaceful, Easy, Normal, Hard, and Merciless. Simply put, Beginner is the easiest difficulty, while Merciless is the hardest. When choosing one of these options, you must ask yourself, “How much have I played Persona?” You must also consider what you are trying to get out of the Persona 3 Reload experience.
For example, suppose you are someone mainly interested in the more social elements of Persona 3 Reload, such as relationship building, working a job, and going to school, and don’t care too much for combat. In that case, you’ll most likely enjoy Persona 3 Reload the most if you choose Peaceful or Easy. Doing so will allow you to breeze through combat while still enjoying the social simulation aspect of the game.
On the other hand, if you are looking for an engaging and challenging combat experience, you will want to pick Normal or Hard. These two difficulties offer a combat experience requiring strategic thinking and mastering the game’s mechanics and systems while also being fair. If you are an experienced Persona player looking for a more strategic, challenging experience, I suggest you select the Hard difficulty option, where enemies will deal higher damage.
Related: Does Persona 3 Reload Include the Female Protagonist or The Answer?
Lastly, we have the Merciless difficulty in Persona 3 Reload. Merciless is not for the faint of heart and is meant for those who consider themselves the best and are incredibly skilled Persona players. Enemies hit harder (around 3x the damage they’d dish out on Normal), your characters don’t deal as much damage, and dying will become a very regular occurrence. I only recommend the Merciless difficulty if you have beaten Persona 3 Reload at least once.
It’s important to know that if you choose Merciless, you can adjust the difficulty to a lower level. That said, you can’t adjust the difficulty back to Merciless once you turn it down a level. All the other difficulty levels can be adjusted whenever you please.
]]>Aside from the Light Dragon, all Dragons in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom follow a relatively short route during a specific in-game time. We found that adding each Dragon to the Hyrule Compendium made tracking them far easier, as you can use Sensor+ to follow them.
Farosh, the dragon of lightning, can be found in the southeastern corner of Hyrule and is arguably the most difficult returning dragon to track in Tears of the Kingdom. While it’s easy to glide over to Farosh from the island near Gerudo Canyon Sky Tower, Farosh’s body is electric, and you will be shocked you are wielding a metal sword or shield.
On top of being shocked, Farosh will begin to fire clusters of electricity at you once you get too close. If you want to live long enough to collect Farosh’s materials, you should think about getting the Rubber armor set or down a few electricity-resistant potions.
Farosh emerges from the depths at East Gerudo Chasm between 12:00 and 1:00 PM. It travels north around Gerudo Canyon before making its way west into Faron, where it passes over the Great Plateau before descending back underground through the Chasm south of Hills of Baumer.
I’ve found Naydra to be the easiest of the three elemental dragons to collect materials from. Not only do you have an almost perfect vantage point on the dragon from Mount Lanaryu Skyview Tower, but chances are you’ve picked up the Snowquill armor set at Rito Village or have some cold-resistant dishes and elixirs.
With these additional heat sources, staying warm on Naydra’s back shouldn’t be an issue, but be careful to avoid the chunks of ice the dragon will throw at you.
Naydra has claimed the southwestern regions of Hyrule as its territory. Like Farosh, Nadray will emerge onto the surface at about 1:00 PM from the Lanaru Snowfield Chasm. Once it’s in the air, Naydra will fly south over the Necluda Sea before looping around and soaring between East Necluda and Hateno Village. After passing by east of Kakariko Village, Naydra will descend back into the Depths at the East Hill Chasm.
With a serpentine figure coated head-to-tail in flames and a nasty habit of throwing fireballs at anything that moves, Dinraal is easily the hardest of the three standard elemental dragons to collect materials from. Once you’ve cooked up some heat-resisting dishes or scavenged the Ember armor set, you can dive down onto its back from Sokkala Sky Archipelago and start harvesting.
Dinraal makes its home in the skies of Hyrule’s northwestern territories. Unlike its kin, Dinraal will rise out of the depths between 5:00 and 6:00 PM through East Akkala Plains Chasm.
Once fully aboveground, Dinraal will sail north through the skies over Deep Akkala before hanging west and traveling just north of Death Mountain. After passing by the Great Hyrule Forest, Dinraal will return to the Depths by diving into the Drenan Highlands Chasm.
The Light Dragon is the only new elemental dragon introduced in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and it’s also the most unique. Unlike Farosh, Naydra, and Dinraal, the Light Dragon does not follow a small route tied to a specific region. Instead, the Light Dragon circles the entirety of Hyrule, sticking to the far reaches of the map and sailing at a much higher altitude than its kin.
As it is constantly patrolling Hyrule, the Light Dragon does not have a specific spawn time. While you can reach the Light Dragon at any point in the game, you should wait until after you’ve collected the twelve Dragon’s Tears hidden throughout Hyrule or met the Great Deku Tree. Once you’ve completed one of these objectives, the Light Dragon will descend to a lower altitude, making it much easier to reach and reclaim the repaired Master Sword from its head.
Now that you know all the dragons, their locations, and spawn times, you’ll want to learn how to farm their materials. As you reach these dragons, you’ll notice they are either glowing or in their standard form. The glowing form is the only time you can gather materials from the dragon, so if you reach the dragon and it isn’t glowing — all you need to do is wait.
You can do this by waiting on the head of the dragon, and the good news is that it won’t knock you off. Dragons glow every ten real-world minutes, so be patient, and once it does glow, you’ll be able to get all materials, such as a Horn, Spike, Claw, and Scale!

]]>After some evaluations of numerous servers, we have concluded that those listed below are the best ones available at the current moment. Included is a server for everyone; whether you are looking for PVE, exploring, or trying to go more hardcore, we have you covered. Here are our top ten picks for DayZ Servers.
The first server on this list is fast-paced, aiming to test players’ DayZ skills. Focused on being an organic role-play server, your interactions are more natural and delivered well. This server is exceptional, with really cool laws, and it boasts one of the best communities of players who are incredibly creative but dangerous simultaneously.
You’ll need to be on alert as there are possibilities of being captured or rescuing a friend from being tortured by using a Blood Transfusion. You’ll never know what you will find, as it has many items and loot to discover. There is never a dull moment on this server, and it is hard to express how incredible the experience is in writing, so you must check it out yourself.
This server goes above and beyond to provide its user base with a solid experience. First-person only and zero tolerance towards cheating make this strict but still well worth it. From providing players with regular daily events to its complex base-building feature, you will pour hours into XDC.
Players can find clothing, cars, helicopters, and tons of military gear throughout the map, adding to the reward system of exploring. It is important to note that all loot is up for grabs regardless of your level, so you must act fast to get the rare finds.
Very few hardcore servers deliver an intense experience as great as Spaggies Namalsk. Starting with nothing but a watch and some flares, it feels like you are deserted on an island as your survival instincts instantly kick in. The brutality of the map has users constantly battling with the cold weather, adding to the survival nature of the game. You can stumble across players willing to lend a helping hand or others with malicious intentions trying to kill you.
Every decision on this server can make or break whether you survive through the night, from choosing whether to go into the city for supplies or build a fire so you can survive the deadly cold. Spaggies Namalsk takes some getting used to, but with practice, this makes for one of the best experiences on DayZ.
Set on the map of Eden, this provides a tropical adventure with many points of interest worth checking out. This is the perfect server for those who want to explore the island and discover locations they haven’t seen before in the base game. Mods are included to improve clothing and building, and one that even adds a tiger to your gameplay.
Mostly filled with PVP, you’ll want to watch your back as there isn’t much team-based combat, although sometimes you may get lucky and run into a friendly ally. That said, there aren’t many players online at one time, allowing you to let the explorer in you shine through for a more relaxing experience.
This is the perfect server for players who want to play PVE instead of PVP. Set on one of the most excellent maps of DayZ, it has everything you want from a server and more. Archon provides players with unique vehicles, safe zones, helicopters, trading, law, base building, weapons and clothing, and more.
Integrated into the server is a zero-kill policy, meaning you won’t have to watch your back for other players trying to kill you and loot your belongings. More importantly, there’s a lot of team-based combat against the zombies, making for one of the most outstanding server communities. It’s also a huge bonus that they have a responsive development team that continuously puts out updates to improve user experience.
If you’re looking to spice up your DayZ experience with a bit of base-building, Lowzone is the server for you. This server is based in Portugal and is populated primarily by Portuguese-speaking players, but those willing to work to overcome the language barrier are in for a fun time.
This server comes ingrained with in-game currency and an in-depth bartering system you can use to trade for materials unique to the server. With these, you can build, expand, and furbish a base of operations. While the players can raid your home, it’s only allowed for a short timeframe during the day, so you’ll have plenty of time to set up defenses.
DayZ is already a pretty scary game, but DayZ Dystopia cranks the horror to eleven. Everything about this server is designed to make the zombie survival experience at the heart of DayZ even more terrifying. I’m both happy and afraid to report that it succeeds.
The zombies of DayZ Dystopia are even more aggressive than they are in the main game, so even the most experienced DayZ players will have to step up their game to avoid becoming food for the dead. Combine this with a black market system and a faction-based roleplay mechanic, and you’ve got a DayZ server that will satisfy players looking to experience the zombie apocalypse as viscerally as possible.
Let’s be honest; sometimes, you want to go mano y mano with another player with whom you’ve developed a serious (and hopefully healthy) rivalry. If you’re ready to face off with a dedicated friend/enemy, Kryptic is your best Dayz server.
These servers spotlight the competitive aspects of DayZ’s gameplay formula, seeding the in-game world with powerful weapons while nearly eliminating crafting/survival elements for the equation. Even zombies are rare on these servers; it’s just you, your fellow players, and everything you could ever need to settle a good old-fashioned grudge.
Rearmed is a prime example of a DayZ server that exists only to push the boundaries of what the main game can be. At its core, Rearmed is practically a vanilla server, but every baseline feature has been expanded to its reasonable extreme.
Rearmed introduced new weapons, vehicles, and gameplay mechanics like lockable doors and fully customizable missions, many of which are pulled directly from the popular team-based shooter Escape from Tarkov. These elements work seamlessly to deliver a high-voltage PVP experience that enhances to DayZ’s gameplay loop without sacrificing too much of its base charm.
DayZ is a complicated game, one that asks a lot more of the player than most other multiplayer shooters. This means it can be difficult for new players to find their footing, but Noobs Only can make the process of beating the learning curve a lot easier.
Insulting name aside, Boobs Only is an excellent server for players who are still learning how to play DayZ. The server replaces raids with missions designed to teach players tricks and tips that will make them better at the game, and the server’s admins work overtime to build an easy-going atmosphere that will make inexperienced DayZ players feel welcome and ready to learn.
Each server has something unique, so you can’t go wrong with picking one over the other. Try them all out and see which one fits your playstyle the best! Hopefully, as these servers continue to improve, the number of DayZ players will rise again to return to what it once was.
DayZ is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PS5, and PC.
]]>If any of your bases (buildings, workstations, etc) ends up outside the orange boundary created by the Flame Altar, it will be removed after a certain amount of time. Here is how you can move the Flame Altar without losing your base in Enshrouded.
While you can’t move your Flame Altar manually in Enshrouded, you can add a second Flame Altar to adjust the orange boundary for your base.
All you need to do is craft a second Flame Altar (while the first is still lit) and place it as far as you want to expand the base boundary. This is a great way to ensure you keep all base progress while allowing you to adjust the boundary and expand your base further.
If your Flame Level is low and you can only have a small number of Flame Altars activated, you may not want two Flame Altars at one location. If this is the case, you can still move the orange boundary for your base; it just takes more strategic thinking.
For example, craft a second Flame Altar and adjust it as far as possible. You just need to ensure that everything from your base (that you want to keep) is within the boundaries of the new Flame Altar’s border. Here’s an example in the image below.
Notice how the building on the left side of the image is outside of the new orange boundary of my new Flame Altar? If I extinguish the first Flame Altar, that building will be removed from my base after a set amount of time or if I exit my game. Meanwhile, the Workbench will remain there since it’s inside the new border. This can be worth it for some players as it allows you to move away from trees, rocky terrains, etc.
This is very important: if you extinguish your only Flame Altar, without creating a second one first, you risk losing everything you have at your base. This risk stems from game crashes.
It’s important to note that the new Flame Altar you create will be at Altar Level 1, meaning your orange boundary (size of the base) will be 40x40x40. So, be very sure you want to move your base if you plan on removing the first Flame Altar.
]]>You may wonder if you will be refunded all the upgrade materials when extinguishing the Flame Altar in Enshrouded. We have the answer for you in this guide.
Simply put, you will not get a refund for your upgrade materials when extinguishing a Flame Altar in Enshrouded. This means all the Shroud Cores you invested in the Altar will disappear, and you’ll have to go out and collect some new ones. This also means that your Altar level will return to level 1, bringing the building area limit back down to 40x40x40.
The same goes with the “Strengthening the Flame” of the Altar. You won’t get a refund for materials you invested in the Flame. That said, your Flame Level will remain the same. The Flame level of all your Flame Altars is unanimous and global, meaning once you level up the Flame it will remain that level for the duration of your playthrough.
Players can get Shroud Cores from high-level enemies found in the Shroud. More specifically, you’ll have the best luck obtaining Shroud Cores by defeating more formidable enemies such as Wraiths and bosses. Wraiths are usually found near Elixir Well areas.
Players can also craft Shroud Cores by visiting the Alchemist Craftsmen. This is the easiest way to get Shroud Cores in the mid to late game, and only requires 10 Shroud Spores and 10 Shroud Liquids for every Shroud Core. You can find Shroud Spores by defeating any enemy found in the Shroud, while Shroud Liquid can be found by harvesting white mushrooms found in the Shroud.
]]>While Enshrouded runs decently with the base Steam Deck settings, there are changes players can make to improve FPS and performance for an overall better experience.
Before we get into the settings, set the game to Proton Experimental. You can do this by going to the Enshrouded app on your Steam Deck, selecting Manage, then Properties, and checking the first option. Proton Experimental aims to increase software title compatibility, resulting in Enshrouded running better, considering the game is not officially Steam Deck verified just yet.
Once you have that out of the way, adjust the settings in-game within the Main Menu. Below are the best Enshrouded Steam Deck settings.
Related: Best Enshrouded Dedicated Server Settings & How to Set One Up
After matching your in-game settings to the ones mentioned, you will notice an instant improvement in FPS and performance overall. These settings aim to reduce stuttering, crashing, etc.
Graphically, it will look about the same with a slight improvement to textures. Unfortunately, after I attempted numerous combinations, improving the graphics for Enshrouded on the Steam Deck entirely seems nearly impossible. That said, the standard version for PC isn’t the best-looking game graphics-wise, so you aren’t missing out on much.
Hopefully, these Enshrouded Steam Deck settings have improved your overall experience with the game! Feel free to adjust the in-game settings as you see fit, but I genuinely believe these are the best that anyone can do.

]]>There’s a lot of stuff in Jackie’s garage for the Cyberpunk ofrenda offering, and Misty’s there with you to bring up sentimental stories attached to each item, so it can be challenging to decide what to bring. Unfortunately, your options are limited, so here’s the best thing you should bring to the Cyberpunk 2077 ofrenda offering.
While the game makes it seem like you have a choice, you can only bring one thing to the Cyberpunk ofrenda offering. Inside Jackie’s garage, you will have several options available for you to choose from. However, I was initially confused through multiple playthroughs because the book seemed the only option, but this isn’t the case.
You’ll find the book and basketball in the first room, and the key to the second room is next to the beer. Once you have the key, you can access the second room to find a tequila bottle and a belt. Did you take everything or touch it? Make sure to select “take all” to add everything you can to your inventory. It honestly doesn’t matter which item you choose for the Ofrenda so choose what speaks to you the most.
However, to get the best outcome of this quest, convince Misty to come with you to El Coyote Cojo to attend the Ofrenda. Once at the Ofrenda, you can choose which items to place on the altar from your inventory. After the cyberpunk ofrenda offering ends, speak to Mama Welles and tell her Misty was critical of Jackie. However, you’ll still get the keys to Jackie’s motorcycle regardless of telling Mama Welles about Misty.
At the end of the Heroes quest and completing the cyberpunk ofrenda offering, Mame Welles will offer you Jackie’s Bike. You can either accept the bike and grab the keys, or answer no to Mama Welles, which will rid you of receiving the bike. Unfortunately, if you answer no, you won’t be able to get Jackie’s Bike through the Heroes quest.
If you accidentally said no to Mama Welles and want the bike, your best bet is to reload a save file. I made the mistake of saying no and reloading a save file from before the quest was my savior. Doing this, you will have to redo all the steps mentioned in this guide, but you will also receive Jackie’s Bike.
Making sure you get Jackie’s Bike is highly recommended, considering it’s most players’ first and best vehicle in the Cyberpunk 2077 playthrough. Having a vehicle makes exploring and getting between quest waypoints much easier.
When deciding on where to send Jackie, the player has the option to send him to Viktor. If you choose to send Jackie to Viktor, you will be locked out of the rest of the quest and won’t be invited to the ofrenda mentioned earlier. Instead, Mama Welles will leave a box outside of V’s home that contains the keys to Jackie’s Bike. In other words, you will still receive Jackie Bike as a vehicle.
While this decision isn’t recommended, it’s not the end of the world, considering Mama Welles won’t be mad at you. You can actually call Mama Welles on your cellphone, and she will speak to you and wish you all the best.
]]>The Rake is a handy item in Enshrouded that allows you to collect Dirt and flatten the terrain to make building easier. So, when players can’t access this essential item, it can cause some serious frustration. Follow the steps below for potential fixes to the missing Rake bug in Enshrouded.
Our first potential fix is the fastest method to fix the missing Rake bug in Enshrouded. Here is what you need to do:
Following the steps above may fix the Rake missing from the Workbench crafting menu. If the Rake appears, craft as many as you can afford now and put extra into a storage chest in case the bug occurs again. If the Rake is still missing, move on to this guide’s next potential fix.
This fix requires you to create a new character, but don’t worry; you don’t need to redo all your hard work. This worked for me, and I’m confident it will work for you too.
Creating a new character in the same world will allow you to access the home base you have already made, allowing the new character to use the Workbench. More often than not, the Rake will be available for the new character you created. Placing the Rake in a Storage Chest will allow your main character to grab it.
It’s important to remember that after you reach level 5, the Rake will disappear from the Workshop. From then on out, you can craft the Scrappy Rake from the Blacksmith.
]]>Players can get Padding in Enshrouded by first finding Fabric. Once the player collects Fabric for the first time, Padding will become available for crafting at the Hunter NPC. To craft Padding at the Hunter, you will need the following materials:
After you have collected all the necessary materials for Padding, interact with the Hunter and select Padding to craft it officially! The following sections will detail how to get all the necessary materials to craft Padding from the Hunter.
Players can get Fabric in Enshrouded by unlocking the Loom during the Hunter’s quest. More specifically, the Hunter will send you to find the Loom during the fifth quest he offers, so continue his objectives until it becomes available. After finding the Loom, players can create Fabric from it with five pieces of Linen.
Leather can be acquired by unlocking the Tanning Station after the fourth Hunter Quest, “In Need of a Tanning Station.” Once you complete this quest, place down a Tanning Station and craft leather from it by inputting Dried Fur, Salt, and Ammonia Glaze.
Resin is the easiest resource to acquire out of all the ingredients for Padding. All you need to do is cut down large trees with a Pickaxe, and Resin will often fall off. Players can make a Pickaxe in the main menu crafting screen with one String, Four Twigs, and one Stone — all easily found from the ground in any area.
Lastly, to get Linen for Padding, you must complete the Hunter’s third quest to obtain the Hand Spindle. Once you complete the quest and receive the Hand Spindle, use it to craft Linen with two Flax Flowers.
The primary purpose of Padding is to create high-level armor for your character from Craftsmen. You will want to craft and collect all necessary materials for Padding as often as possible, as the game will progressively get harder the further you progress. Crafting sturdy and strong armor can cost you upwards of 10 Padding.
]]>Below you will find our picks of the ten strongest Pals in Palworld, in no particular order. These Pals were picked due to their abilities, their partner skills that can change the tide of combat, and more.
If you’re looking for a strong Ice Element Pal, Cryolinx should be on your list. It is one of the strongest Pals with this element type and has a partner skill, “Dragon Hunter,” that can help gather materials and items from Dragon Pals.
As you further level up Cryolinx, you will start to understand the sheer force this Pal wields. Icicle Cutter and Cryst Breath are good examples of damage potential. For instance, Icicle Cutter creates a blade that Cryolinx will lunge forward with for a deadly blow, while Cryst Breath surrounds enemies in a fatal ice cloud. Cryst Breath is its best ability since it deals continuous damage.
Grizzbolt is, without a doubt, the best Electric-type Pal in Palworld. Being pure Electric, all of its abilities revolve around that element type, but that is okay, considering each one is stronger than the next. Shockwave is my personal favorite, as it can shock all enemies surrounding you, saving you from being overwhelmed when bombarded with enemies.
Grizzbolt’s partner skill is a solid one called “Yellow Tank.” Yellow Tank will turn Grizzbolt into a mount, allowing the player to fire a mini-gun rapidly while on top. This can turn Grizzbolt into a tank-like mount, making it one of the best in the game.
Suzaku is a Fire-type Pal that is great in combat and one of the faster flying mounts available in the game. While mounted atop Suzaku, your fire attacks will be enhanced, allowing you to burn everyone below from a safe distance. Outside of its base skill, you will unlock a handful of solid fire abilities as you level up Suzaku.
For example, Ignis Blast is unlocked early at level 7 and hurls a deadly ball of fire straight toward an enemy, while Ignis Breath is unlocked at level 30, which deals continuous fire damage through Suzaku’s breath. Additionally, Suzaku has a surprisingly solid defense, allowing it to tough out battles for extended periods of time. In other words, Suzaku is one of the best choices if you’re looking for a Fire Pal who can do it all.
Anubis is hands down one of the best Ground-type Pals in Palworld. Outside of looking really cool, Anubis has abilities that make him a force to reckon with. For crowd control, use Spinning Roundhouse for Anubis to kick away any enemy that dares to come close to you. Or you can use Sand Tornado, sending two high-damage tornadoes toward enemies, blowing them away.
Anubis also has an excellent partner skill. “Guardian of the Desert” will apply Ground damage to the player’s attacks, increasing overall damage. The partner skill also sometimes executes a side dodge while in battle, avoiding oncoming damage.
Paladius is one of the strongest Pals in the game due to its high defensive capabilities. This Pal is built like a brick wall, making it almost impossible for enemies to take it down. While Paladius is a Neutral-type Pal, you can unlock Ice skills as you level it up. For starters, at level 30, Paladius will unlock Blizzard Spike, creating a giant lump of ice you can hurl at enemies. This affects everyone in proximity, dealing AOE damage. Outside of its Ice attacks, his Neutral-type abilities are great, too.
Paladius’ partner skill should not be overlooked either, as it turns the Pal into a rideable mount. While mounted, Paladius can triple jump, making traversal much more manageable.
Jormuntide is the base version of this Pal, with the other one farther down in this list. Jormuntide is a Water and Dragon-type pal that will be your best friend when traversing the bodies of water in the game. This is true through its Partner Skill, Stormbringer Sea Dragon, which allows you to ride it across the water. It also wholly removes Stamina depletion, enabling you to travel far and wide while on bodies of water.
Outside of its fantastic partner skill, you will also notice that Jormuntide is an offensive beast that deals superb damage through its abilities. Some standout skills are Aqua Burst and Hydro Laser. Aqua Burst creates a giant ball of water that is hurled at enemies, while Hydro Laser shoots water at extreme speeds in a sweeping motion that can wipe out a line of enemies.
Due to fire being arguably the best element in Palworld, there’s no doubt we would have a few fire Pals on this list. Blazamut, one of the best fire pals in the game, has incredible fire abilities while also dealing significant physical damage. This can be seen in its Fire Ball and Rock Lance abilities, unlocked at levels 40 and 50, respectively. The former creates a fireball that sets the ground ablaze, while Rock Lance generates a spear underneath a pack of enemies.
Blazamut’s partner skill is also a huge bonus, which turns it into a rideable mount. While riding Blazamut, all your fire attacks will increase, allowing you to do more base damage and overall fire damage.
Jormuntide Ignis, the better Jormuntide out of the two, is a fire-breathing dragon and one of the best Pals in Palworld. This is especially true if you favor fire attacks. For example, Jormuntide Ignis’s partner skill allows you to ride it as a mount while enhancing all fire attacks while on board.
Additionally, leveling up this beast to level 40 will unlock the Fire Ball ability, which creates a giant ball of flame that explodes on impact. This skill alone can take out a whole group of enemies. As previously mentioned in this guide, the water version of Jormuntide is great. That said, the Ignis version is better since it can cause fire damage.
Dark-type enemies are considerably strong in Palworld; out of all of them, Shadowbeak is the best. Its base offensive stats deal devastating attack power and only become more deadly as you level it up further. While Shadowbeak can only unlock Dark abilities, they are all heavy hitters; for example, the Dark Laser ability is unlocked at level 50. Dark Laser charges dark energy and then lets loose a powerful beam toward enemies.
Shadowbeak has an excellent partner skill called “Modified DNA.” Modified DNA will turn Shadowbeak into a mount, allowing you to ride it across the game’s large map. It also increases all Dark attacks when mounted, strengthening your character.
Jetragon is the strongest Pal in the game, dealing arguably the most significant damage out of all other options that can defeat even the most formidable enemies. Due to it being a Dragon-type, you will have no trouble against any Dark-type enemies, which are prominent in the late game. Fully upgrading Jetragon will unlock the Dragon Meteor ability, which shoots down a wave of meteorites upon your enemy. This and other abilities this Pal has makes Jetragon great at AOE.
Jetragon’s partner skill, Aerial Missile, is a massive bonus as it allows you to ride it as a mount while also using it as a missile launcher. This partner skill is hands down the best one in the game, where you have a way of quick travel but also a way to kill every enemy in your path.
]]>Shroud Liquid is relatively easy to farm once you understand where it spawns and what it looks like. Read further to learn how to get Shroud Liquid in Enshrouded.
Enshrouded players can get Shroud Liquid from Mushrooms in Shroud zones. The large white mushrooms are easy to spot, usually found in groups and clumped together. You can see an example of the Mushrooms with Shroud Liquid in the image attached below.
Once you find a Mushroom, you only need to press the “collect” button when close to it to acquire Shroud Liquid. In other words, you don’t need a Pickaxe or Rake to collect Shroud Liquid.
Related: How to Get Shroud Wood in Enshrouded
Shroud Liquid is an essential resource for crafting certain items in Enshrouded. Some examples include Shroud Survival Flasks and the Flask of the Fell, two flasks that can make your explorations much more manageable. The Shroud Survival Flasks allow you to stay in Enshrouded Zones for an extra two minutes, while Flask of the Fell will increase your overall Stamina for a set amount of time.
Additionally, players can use Shroud Liquid to craft Goo and Shroud Cores which are two advanced crafting materials that can upgrade the Flame Altar at your base. Upgrading the Flame Altar is a must as it will increase your Building Area limit, the amount of time you can stay in the Shroud, and even raise your Character Attribute Bonuses.
Simply put, collecting Shroud Liquid is a must, as it can improve your overall survivability in the game. Always make sure to stop at big white mushrooms in Enshrouded Zones and collect Shroud Liquid whenever you have a chance so you never run out.
]]>The answer may surprise you. This guide will cover everything you need to know about dual-wielding in combat.
At the time of writing, dual-wielding is not available in Enshrouded. This means you can only have one weapon equipped at a time, having to swap between others if you want to focus on two. This is unfortunate and, quite frankly, a little strange, considering daggers and axes are included in the game — two weapons that are unanimously great to dual-wield in RPG combat.
Not including dual wielding in Enshrouded seems like a missed opportunity, and we hope that developer Keen Games decides to add it in the future. With the game currently in Early Access, it is expected to get additions and tweaks before the final product releases, so hopefully, a dual-wield mechanic is one of the added-on features.
Related: Enshrouded: How to Fix No Compatible Graphics Device Found Error
The main point of Early Access for a game is to focus on glitches, hear feedback from the community, and see where there is room for improvement. I genuinely believe that if the community comes together to voice their interest in dual-wielding, we will likely see it added in the future.
The good news is that swapping between weapons is simple, with just having to press one button to switch to the next instantly. My favorite weapons currently are the Rusty Short Sword and the Club, so I have them side by side in my action toolbar. This way, I can switch between the two instantly, allowing me to focus on both of them. It obviously would have been much better if I could have them both equipped at once, but you have to do what you have to do.
]]>Players can get Resin in Enshrouded by cutting down trees. While any tree can drop Resin when entirely destroyed, players will have the best chance of collecting the rare resource by cutting down the larger trees. To give you an idea of the tree size you should look out for, check out the image we have attached below.
You can easily chop down trees by crafting a Pickaxe, which requires 1 String, 4 Twigs, and 1 Stone. String can be crafted under the Crafting section in the pause menu, while Twigs and Stones are easily found on the ground in any area.
If you want to farm these trees, you can chop them down, log out, and then log back in. Every time you log back into Enshrouded, everything respawns, allowing you to farm for resources and materials.
There are tons of uses for Resin in Enshrouded. The most commonly use for Resin is to craft Illumination items such as Wall Torch, Standing Torch, Skull Candles, and more. These are essential to light up houses and other buildings in your home base.
Additionally, players will find themselves using Resin towards Armor sets such as the Rising Fighter Armour Set, creating magical Staffs, and even the Fireball spell.
These are just examples, and there are plenty more that require Resin as a main ingredient. It is recommended to chop down trees frequently and gather Resin as often as possible so you never run out of this valuable resource. You’ll never know when you’ll need Resin, so it’s best to have ample inventory for when the time comes.
]]>Before you can collect Dirt in Enshrouded, you must first craft a Pickaxe or a Rake. The Pickaxe is preferred, considering it’s available earlier in the game and much easier to make. All you need is 1 Stone, 4 Twigs, and 1 String to craft a Pickaxe from the crafting menu. Here is how you can find each of the necessary materials to craft a Pickaxe:
Once you craft yourself a handy dandy Pickaxe, all you need to do is equip it and hit the ground. Doing so will collect Dirt and add it to your inventory. Most plots of land will reward you with Dirt unless it’s too rocky or below the Shroud. Using the Pickaxe on the ground below the Shroud will reward you with Mycelium instead.
Dirt can be used to craft various materials and resources from the Kiln in Enshrouded. For example, early in Enshrouded, you will have the opportunity to make a Charcoal Kiln, allowing you to craft Charcoal. The ingredients for Charcoal are 17 Wood Logs and 3 Dirt. You will also be able to make Tar and Wood Acid from the Kiln through the use of Dirt.
Players can make a Kiln in Enshrouded by speaking to the Blacksmith and selecting it from the Production Place section. It costs 20 Stones to officially create a Kiln, which you can easily find on the ground in the surrounding area.
If you decide you want to change the recipe of the Kiln, you can scroll down to “Browse Recipes” while interacting with the Kiln. Doing so will bring up all the available Recipes you have for the Kiln.
]]>It’s important to know that any class in Diablo 4 Season 3 can be turned into something amazing, considering the numerous combinations of skills, abilities, aspects, etc. That said, some classes are overall better regarding sheer power, damage, and flexibility.
While the Druid is arguably the coolest class in Diablo 4, it’s unfortunate to say it’s also the worst in Season of the Construct. It has benefits such as buffs to Spirit Boons, where Prickleskin’s Thorn’s amount is significantly increased, but it has the longest leveling process to get the build to a worthy level. It also doesn’t help that the Druid is incredibly difficult to master as a casual player. When looking at the benefits of the Druid compared to the benefits of the other classes on this list, it’s best to put the Druid on the back burner.
The Necromancer still has a ton going for it, being exceptionally quick at leveling due to Blood Lance and Bone Spear. Additionally, the end-game potential with this class is solid since there have been improvements to Blood and Iron Golems, as well as enhancements to Bone Spirit Aspects in Season of the Construct. That said, they lack the brute force and power that the other classes higher ranked in this list do.
The Rogue has always been a fan favorite due to its fast-paced playstyle and quick leveling process. This still holds true in Diablo 4 Season 3, where it can quickly turn into a build that deals excellent damage, fast dodging to reduce incoming damage, and great range capabilities. Some Uniques got a change in Season of the Construct, including buffs to Windforce, Skyhunter, and Eaglehorn. One main reason the Rogue isn’t higher on this list is due to the learning curve to master.
Sorcerer is a solid choice in Diablo 4 Season 3 due to the changes made. For example, Lightning Spear Critical Strikes now have the chance to make enemies Vulnerable, improving the overall potency of a build focused on that. Additionally, a new Unique called “Starfall Coronet” improves Meteor by adding an additional charge and dropping three additional meteors. That massive improvement makes Sorcerer one of the best in Season of the Construct if a player focuses on a build surrounding those two abilities.
While Barbarians start off slow during the leveling process, they can become an unstoppable build towards the end-game. This was similar to last season and remains true in Season of the Construct. With the improvements to the Charge skill, such as a massive increase in damage, you can demolish anything in your path. Some recommended builds include a focus on Rend and Upheaval, which can turn into, hands down, the best builds and playstyles in the entire game.
That concludes the ranking of all classes in Diablo 4 Season 3. Feel free to check out our guide on all the new aspects and uniques in Season of the Construct to prepare for your seasonal journey!
]]>If you are anything like me, you are having a tough time trying to get Nails. Fortunately, it’s much easier than you think. Here’s how you can get Nails in Enshrouded.
Players can get Nails in Enshrouded from the Blacksmith, the first survivor you find in the game. To find the Blacksmith, follow the main quest until you unlock the “Find the Sleeping Survivor” quest, marking a waypoint to the Blacksmith’s location. When you reach the location, free him from his captivity chamber to officially add him to your party. You can now add the Blacksmith to your home base using the Summoning Staff.
Once you have the Blacksmith at your home base, you can get Nails by interacting with him and scrolling down to the Resources section. Nails will be available for crafting here, requiring 1 Metal Scrap for every 2 Nails. In the next section, we will explain how to find Metal Scraps in Enshrouded so you can craft as many Nails as you would like.
Players can get Metal Scraps in Enshrouded by searching abandoned towns and villages found throughout the map. Metal Scraps are commonly found on the ground within these areas, so keep your eyes peeled. Metal scraps can also be acquired by destroying metal objects and furniture.
If you encounter any object that has a metal or iron lock, use your weapon or pickaxe to destroy it to collect Metal Scraps. The stronger your melee weapon, the quicker it will take to destroy the object for resources and materials.
The main purpose of Nails in Enshrouded is to have the ability to craft more advanced items, such as storage chests. Having a Storage Chest in your home base is a game changer, considering your backpack doesn’t have much room and can fill up very quickly. Make sure you fill your Storage Chest with unwanted materials and resources since you’ll never know when you’ll need them in the future.
]]>This guide aims to help you as it will include our suggestions on which skills are worth it in the early game. Read further to learn about the best skills to unlock first in Enshrouded.
Out of all the available options on the Skill Tree that you can reach early in the game, a handful stand out among the others. Below are our five picks of the best early-game skills, giving you an advantage against the cruel world of Enshrouded.
Merciless Attack is a skill that can make a huge difference in combat, especially if you have mastered parrying and you play aggressively. As you parry attacks or attack an enemy while they are blocking, you will fill their stun bar, leading them to become overpowered. Merciless Attack allows you to simply press one button when an enemy is overpowered, dealing a devastating blow and draining a health pool instantly.
Cost: 2 Skill Points
Double Jump is like it sounds — it allows you to double jump. Considering exploration is a core part of Enshrouded, having the ability to double jump can make traversing rocks and high-to-reach places much more manageable. You can find this skill under the Survivor section of the Skill Tree, which requires four skill points to unlock, but you should acquire it as soon as possible.
Cost: 4 Skill Points
The dodge in Enshrouded isn’t the worst, but it can be much better and more efficient. You can improve your dodge by unlocking the Blink skill, which transforms your dodge into teleportation. Once you start using Blink instead of the standard dodge, you’ll find it much easier to avoid getting hit by enemies, and your combat skills will improve tenfold.
Cost: 4 Skill Points
Stamina is everything in Enshrouded, and the Well Rested skill ensures you don’t run out of it as quickly. Well Rested will increase the base duration of the Rested Buff by 5 minutes, meaning you get the benefits of resting for more extended periods. You can even increase the amount of minutes if you improve the Comfort in your home. This means your stamina maximum and regeneration will remain boosted for longer, which is especially helpful in exploration and combat.
Cost: 1 Skill Point
I bet Shiny Plates will be a fan favorite in Enshrouded. Applying the Shiny Plates skill will grant you 10% more armor points for all the armor you are wearing, which can increase your defense and reduce incoming damage an incredible amount. 10% is a huge bonus, especially if the armor you are wearing already has a high number. Some enemies in the game are brutal, so increasing your overall armor can make a significant difference in your survival.
Cost: 2 Skill Points
Outside of skills, you will have the opportunity to invest points into Attribute. Attributes are just as important as skills, as they will increase your base stats, making you a stronger and quicker fighter overall. There are three that you should focus on early in the game, and we have them listed for you below.
Health, Stamina, and Strength are the three most important stats when starting in Enshrouded, so you should focus on upgrading them first. If you want to use magic instead of melee weapons, switch out Strength for Intelligence. Also, remember that if you become unsatisfied with your Enshrouded build, the game has a respec feature!
]]>The quest sounds easier than it is, as you can’t just build a square for his workshop; instead, it needs to be to his liking, and he must approve it. This guide will cover how to build a workshop in Enshrouded.
The first step toward building a workshop for the Blacksmith in Enshrouded is to craft a Workbench, which you can do from the Crafting section in the pause menu. A Workbench requires 3 Strings and 8 Wood Logs.
Once you craft a Workbench and place it down in your home base, interact with it and craft either Rough Wood Blocks or Rough Stone Blocks (whichever you prefer), and these will act as the foundation for your workshop. You will also need to craft Plant Fiber Roof Block, which will be used to create the workshop’s roof. Lastly, you need to craft a Construction Hammer from the Workbench. Below are the necessary materials for all four:
All the resources required to craft the building materials and Construction Hammer can easily be found on the ground; for example, stones are from rocks on the ground, wood near trees/destroying wooden structures, and plant fiber comes from plants.
When you have prepared all the building materials at the Workbench, it’s time to get to work. Equip your Construction Hammer and enter Build Mode by pressing the corresponding button and start to make a square with a door that will act as a room for the Blacksmith. You can toggle between shapes while in Build Mode, allowing you to make a door easily.
Once you create the square room with a door, it’s time to make a roof so the Blacksmith is sheltered inside. While in Build Mode with the Construction Hammer, scroll down through all the shapes until you reach the Roof section. Add as many roof pieces as it takes to cover the top completely.
Lastly, you need to put the Blacksmith inside the building to complete the quest “build a workshop for the Blacksmith.” To do so, equip your Summoning Staff and activate it to move the Blacksmith inside the building you just created, similar to how I do in the image attached.
Once you place him inside the workshop, the game will notify you that the quest is complete, and the Blacksmith will be pleased with your efforts. If this doesn’t complete the quest, then it’s likely he isn’t sheltered inside enough, and you need to add more to the building. There should be zero openings on the roof; the only openings allowed are for doors and windows.
Now that you have completed a workshop for the Blacksmith, his inventory will increase, allowing you to create stronger armor and weapons for the Elixir Well.
]]>Diablo 4 players can get Vault Sigils in two ways: crafting them at an Occultist with Pearls of Warding or completing Nightmare Vaults and receiving them as a reward.
Pearls of Warding are a new item in Diablo 4 Season of the Construct and can be obtained by completing Arcane Tremors, a new world event added to the game. The good news is that Arcane Tremors are frequent around Sanctuary, and you can find them by opening up your in-game map and locating Voltaic Obelisk icons. These icons become available after receiving your Seneschal companion during the seasonal quest.
Once you have enough Pearls of Warding, you can craft a Vault Sigil at an Occultist. Each Nightmare Vault requires its unique Vault Sigil, so make sure to select the correct one before spending your Pearls of Warding.
Pearls of Warding aren’t just used to create Vault Sigils, though; they can also be used at Zoltun Statues. Offering a Pearls of Warding to a Zoltun’s Statue will stack your character with Zoltun’s Warding, which rewards you with a Wardwoven chest at the end of a Nightmare Vault. Wardwoven Chests are a great way to receive Tuning and Governing Stones for your Seneschal companion.
The higher your stack of Zoltun’s Warding at the end of a Nightmare Vault, the better the reward will be inside the Wardwoven Chest. Keep in mind that every time you are hit by a trap inside the Nightmare Vault, your Zoltun’s Warding will deplete more, so it’s wise to navigate through the Vaults carefully.
]]>The first thing you need to know about upgrading the Seneschal companion in Diablo 4 is that it scales with your character. In other words, the higher the level of your seasonal character, the more effective your companion will be.
Additionally, players can upgrade the Seneschal companion by finding different types of stones around the map. Two key stones will decide how well your companion performs in combat. First are Governing Stones, which will determine the type of attack your Seneschal can perform. Meanwhile, Tuning Stones will augment those skills and provide greater utility.
Players can equip two Governing Stones and six Tuning Stones to optimize the build of the Seneschal companion. This adds a lot of flexibility for mixing and matching and creating a unique moveset, especially considering 12 Governing Stones and 27 Tuning Stones are available.
Related: How to Fix Diablo 4 Progress Not Carrying Over to Seasonal Realm
Players can get Tuning and Governing Stones in a few ways during Diablo 4 Season of the Construct. First, players can obtain Tuning Stones by completing Vaults, where each Vault will reward the player with one Tuning Stone upon completion. Tuning Stones can also be found within Wardwoven Chests, which can be found within various levels of Diablo 4. Governing Stones can also be found in Wardwoven Chests.
Additionally, players will fight against enemy Constructs while exploring Vaults, which have the chance of dropping a Shattered Stone. Shattered Stones can then be crafted into a Tuning Stone or Governing Stone at any Jeweler across Sanctuary.
]]>Diablo 4 Season 3, Season of the Construct, brings a total of seven new Aspects and six new Uniques for players to collect, each including powerful buffs. We’ve run through all of them down below so you know what you’re looking out for.
No matter which class you plan on playing during Diablo 4 Season 3, you can acquire a new, unique aspect. Use the table of contents below to jump around this guide to your preferred class.
The following Uniques and Aspects can be equipped by any class in Diablo 4, focusing on increasing the effectiveness of your character’s basic skills and armor.
The new Unique for Barbarian, Ring of Ravenous, focuses on increasing Rend’s Duration. This particularly excites me as I felt that skill was too short by default. The new Unique also applies Rend’s Bleed when using Brawling Skills. As for the Aspect, Sundered Ground will increase the damage output of Upheaval.
If you are a Druid fan, you’ll love the new Unsung Ascetic’s Wraps Unique and Virulent Aspect. The former improves Lightning Storm by granting it one additional strike and increasing damage. Meanwhile, Virulent Aspect will reduce the cooldown of Rabies so that you can change into a werewolf more frequently.
The Necromancer gets two new additions: Mutilator Plate Unique and Shattered Spirit’s Aspect. Mutilator Plate can heal you when using Blood Lance, with a chance to form a Blood Orb. Shattered Spirit’s Aspect is a standout, allowing you to launch 18 Bone Splitters in all directions!
The Rogue gets solid additions in Diablo 4 Season 3. The Beastfall Boots increases the damage to your core skill after casting an Ultimate. Resistant Assailant’s Aspect focuses on Concealment, ultimately granting resistance to elements and reducing the skills’ cooldown.
Last but not least, we have the new Uniques and Aspects for the Sorcerer class in Diablo 4 Season 3. To start, Starfall Coronet is a Unique that increases the number of charges a Meteor has (from 1 to 2) while also dropping additional meteors. Players can expect the new aspect, shredding blades, to enhance ice blades by increasing their chances of applying vulnerability.
That’s all there is to know about new Uniques and Aspects in Diablo 4 Season 3! Feel free to check out other new content in Season of the Construct by heading to the official Blizzard website.
]]>No worries, we will walk you through how you can get your hands on this resource. Here’s where you can find Sulfur in Palworld.
Sulfur can be found in various locations of Palworld, but two have the highest amount. You will have the best luck finding Sulfur in Dungeons during the early game and in the desert region as you progress into the midgame.
The best way to get Sulfur in the early game is by heading into dungeons and looking for the yellowish rock. Dungeons are easy to spot when exploring, usually being a large hole in the mountainside or hillside, and they have the potential to have Sulfur inside. Make sure to bring a pickaxe as you venture into the dungeon so you can successfully mine Sulfur.
More often than not, you will find at least one or two nodes of Sulfur to mine within a dungeon. If you happen to stumble upon a dungeon with zero Sulfur inside, don’t fret; go ahead and find another dungeon, and you’ll likely find one. Of the five dungeons I explored, three contained a Sulfur node.
As you progress further through the world of Palworld, you’ll start to uncover more regions. The desert region northwest of the map has its fair share of Sulfur for your crafting needs, arguably the most out of any area in the game. The color of the rock can sometimes blend into the colors of the region, so keep your eyes peeled so you don’t miss them. This is a mid-game area, so only come here when you have leveled up a good amount.
I recommend you be at least level 15 before entering the desert, considering all enemies are around level 17. If you decide to enter the desert before that recommended level, ensure you are prepared with your strongest Pals.
Sulfur is one of the game’s best and most valuable resources, as it is used to create gunpowder. Gunpowder is then used to make ammunition, which is the primary way to deal damage to enemies you encounter and the game’s tough bosses.
Sulfur isn’t the only resource you will need to craft gunpowder; you will also need to find coal. The official recipe for one gunpowder is 2 Charcoal and 1 Sulfur. You can craft it by interacting with a high-quality workbench and selecting the necessary ingredients.
]]>I was very stressed when I started in Palworld, but I became more comfortable once I understood how the game works. Below, you’ll find the best things to do first in Palworld to give you a good starting point.
When you first boot up Palworld, you will begin at the Plateau of Beginnings area. Since this game boils down to survival, the first thing you should do is create a base, which you can do at the starting location (or anywhere you like).
First, interact with the fast-travel tower to easily reach this location later on, and then build a Pal Box and a Primitive Workbench. The former is for establishing a base and storing Pals, while the latter will allow you to produce early-game items that help with survival.
Players can create a Pal Box by collecting 1 Paldium Fragment, 8 Wood, and 3 Stone. Meanwhile, a Primitive Workbench only requires 2 pieces of Wood. You can find all these materials on the ground in the surrounding area, so take some time to look around and gather them all.
Once you have established a base, it’s time to start catching Pals. To begin catching Pals, you must first create a Pal Sphere from the Primitive Workbench you built at your home base. The necessary materials for a Pal Sphere are 1 Paldium Fragment, 3 Wood, and 3 Stone. These materials are easily found on the ground in any area on the map.
After you have collected the materials for a Pal Sphere and have created one at the Primitive Workbench:
Continue catching as many Pals as you would like for now and different species of Pals until you are ready to go onto the next step in this beginner’s guide.
When you start to get the hang of things, it’s time to begin exploring the map of Palworld. As you progress further into the map, you will find fast-travel towers that will make your adventure more manageable and allow you to bounce between locations. Fast-travel towers are easy to spot as they are large and have an orange glow around them.
As you continue exploring the map of Palworld, make sure you pick up as many materials and items as possible. This includes Stone, Wood, Paldium Fragments, etc., for building purposes and food such as berries and other ingredients. It’s always smart to pick up materials as you explore instead of waiting because you’ll never know which situation you’ll find yourself in due to the survival nature of the game.
You should explore as much as possible when starting Palworld, as it will open opportunities to find better resources for expanding your base and upgrading your Technology tree. This brings me to my next point.
The Technology tree is the bread and butter for everything in Palworld. It gives you access to structures that can expand your base, care for your Pals, and even keep you warm and cozy for survival. You won’t have everything unlocked at first, though, which is why it is essential to start leveling up Technology as soon as possible.
There are a few ways to level up the Technology tree in Palworld. First, you can level up your character by catching Pals and winning fights against other Pals. You can also upgrade the Technology tree by collecting resources and finding Great Eagle fast-travel towers.
Tip: After catching a certain Pal 10 times, you get a massive bonus in XP for leveling the Technology Tree.
Now that you have unlocked Technology in the Technology Tree, it’s time to expand your base. While your base will get more complex the longer you play, a good starting point is to unlock the Campfire, Wooden Chest, Repair Bench, and Wooden Structure set. You can find out what these do in the bullet list below.
This will give you a solid foundation at the start of your adventure in Palworld, and you can expand upon this as you progress further into the Technology Tree and collect more materials. Eventually, your base will become massive, and you will have a whole village of Pals to care for!
When you first start Palworld, you will notice a tutorial box on the upper right side of the screen. This should not be overlooked as it walks you through how Palworld is meant to be played and gives you a good foundation for your entire adventure.
Start from the top of the tutorial and complete the tasks until all of them are completed. Once you have completed the tutorial, the tutorial box will disappear, and you will have gathered much knowledge of Palworld, making you a better player overall.
While not necessary right away, it’s something that can make your journey in Palworld much easier. Lifmunk Effigies are small structures with a green glow scattered across the Palworld map. They will increase your catch rate when collecting Pals, improving your chances of growing your Pal Deck collection.
The best places to find them, in my experience, are by stone structures, castles, near rivers, and inside forests. You will discover that Lifmunk Effigies make catching Pals much more accessible, improving the overall experience.
That’s all you need to know to start your adventure in Palworld! As you continue your journey, you’ll naturally learn more advanced tips, such as how to care for your Pals, defeat tough bosses, and more. We hope this guide has helped you feel more comfortable starting in the game, and we hope you enjoy!
]]>We have you covered in this guide, which will show where you can catch Vixy in Palworld to add it to your Pal Deck!
Palworld players can find Vixy wandering around the southern part of the map, west of the Tower of Rayne Syndicate. You’ll discover Vixy’s location within the red border in the attached image, so explore this area thoroughly until you find the little creature running about.
Catching Vixy is relatively easy, but it will usually take a couple of tries to catch it successfully. Make sure you come to the area prepared with a handful of Pal Spheres in case you fail on the first or second attempt.
Additionally, it’s essential that you deal damage to Vixy before you throw a Pal Sphere at it to catch it. Weakening Pals will significantly increase your chances of success — just make sure you don’t deal too much damage to Vixy since it has a small health pool and can be knocked out quickly. I recommend having a weaker Pal with you to attack Vixy, such as Chikipi, who can slowly chip away at its health and reduce the chance of knocking it out.
The good news is that Vixy doesn’t have a specific time of day when it spawns in the area. Instead, Vixy can be found at any time of the day, allowing you to make the trip to the area mentioned whenever you please. With that said, I recommend trying to catch Vixy during the day since it’s much easier to spot when it’s bright out.
Below is some key information you need to know about Vixy in Palworld!
The Dig Here! Skill is fantastic as it will cause Vixy to dig up hidden items, which can sometimes reward you with an item you’ve been looking for or one crucial for your base. Like other Pals in Palworld, you can put Vixy to work for both Gathering and Farming.
]]>Port forwarding shouldn’t take too long and requires little effort. Use this guide to port forward Palworld to more stable servers.
First, we will discuss the steps to Port Forward Palworld, and in the next section, we will walk through all the steps. To port Forward Palworld:
Now that you know all the steps, we will walk you through them in the next section. You will also find the TCP and UDP numbers for the system you currently play Palworld on.
To port forward Palworld, you will need some essential information. Be prepared to figure out the following information: your router IP address and router login information.
You can find the latter quickly by using the Windows key to open the Command Center. Once you open the Command Center, manually type in “ipconfig” and press enter, which will bring up the Wireless LAN Adapter. Here, you can find the necessary IP address mentioned (next to Default Gateway).
Copy and paste the IP address number into your search bar and log into your router with a password and username, which will bring you to your Router settings. Select the Port Forwarding option available in settings and switch the name of your Port Forward service (sometimes called service type and protocol) to TCP/UDP.
Related: Why Does Palworld’s Audio Sound So Bad?
The following information you input depends on the system you’re currently playing Palworld on. Under Original Port or Starting Port, input the information below corresponding with the system on which you’re playing the game.
After you enter the correct numbers into the Original or Starting Port section, input your IP address under the IP Address section. Next, for “Finishing or Forward Port,” enter 8211. This number comes from the Palworld website, which you can check out by clicking here.
Lastly, set the schedule to Always, add the Port Forward rule to the router, and press save if you want Palworld to use Port Forwarding constantly.
That’s all there is to it! Now, when you load into Palworld, you can share an invite code with friends to join a server related to your IP Address.
]]>In this guide, we have everything you need to know about Lifmunk Effigies in Palworld, including how to find them, what they look like, and how to use them!
Palworld Lifmunk Effigies are small structures resembling a pedestal with a green glow on top of them. Players can get Lifmunk Effigies from various locations on the Palworld map. From personal experience, Lifmunk Effigies reside near castles, forests, bodies of water (ponds/rivers) and stone structures.
In other words, getting Lifmunk Effigies in Palworld boils down to exploring everywhere and looking out for the green glow they have on top of them. The good news is that the green glow on top of Lifmunk Effigies is very bright and easy to spot from a distance.
Below you will find all Lifmunk Effigies in Palworld, each section separated by region. Using this, you’ll increase your catch stat quickly so you are able to collect even the toughest Pals found in the game world.
The desert region has its fair share of Lifmunk Effigies, but less compared to the forest areas of the game.
In the volcano region of Palworld, you will find the majority of Lifmunk Effigies near each other in the southern area.
The central section of the map has the majority of Lifmunk Effigies of the game. It makes sense, considering it is also the largest and most open area available.
Finding Lifmunk Effigies in Verdant Brook can be challenging due to how hilly it is, but hopefully this map makes it more manageable.
Windswept Hills are where the Plateau of Beginnings is located and where the game begins, so you will likely find these early on if you search thoroughly enough.
The Snow region of Palworld has the smallest amount of Lifmunk Effigies, with zero to the north.
Once you find a Lifmunk Effigie, go up to it and interact with the green glow to officially claim it. You have now officially collected a Lifmunk Effigie in Palworld.
Using a Lifmunk Effigie in Palworld is straightforward; all you need to do is build a Statue of Power from the Level 6 Technology tree. Building a Statue of Power will cost you 20x Stone and 10x Paldium Fragments.
Once you build a Statue of Power, interact with it to use your Lifmunk Effigie. This will instantly boost your catch stat, increasing your chances of catching tougher Pals and even allowing you to catch Pals without doing a ton of damage to them first.

]]>To counter this, you need to recover the Pal’s Sanity. Read on to learn how to restore Pals Sanity in Palworld!
Players can recover Pals Sanity (otherwise known as SAN) in Palworld in a few ways:
We have all the methods laid out for you below.
The first and easiest way to restore a Pal’s Sanity is to return them to your Pal Box, allowing them to rest and regain their energy. After the Pal rests in the Pal Box for a certain amount of time, its Sanity will be restored back to maximum. The only downfall of this method is that the Pal won’t be able to continue work on your base while it’s inside the Pal Box.
If you don’t want to return a Pal to the Pal Box, you can restore a Pal’s Sanity by feeding it food. Not all food will restore the Pal’s Sanity, but plenty of options do. For example, Baked Berries have this effect. Make sure to check the effect of the food by hovering over the food icon in your inventory.
You can add Feed Boxes to your base to ensure your Pals are well-fed and eat to keep their Sanity up. Feed Boxes are unlocked at level 4 in the Technology Tree and require 20x Wood to be successfully built. When you have Feed Boxes and you fill them with food, your Pals will eat when they’re hungry, making it so you don’t have to manually feed them all the time.
Another way to restore your Pals’s Sanity in Palworld is to build Hot Springs for them to relax. Hot Springs become available at level 9 in the Technology Tree and require the following materials:
Whenever your Pal starts to become low in Sanity, they will take themself over to the Hot Spring for a relaxing break. This will restore the Pal’s Sanity. If your Pal ever refuses to work, you can also assign them to the Hot Springs manually.
]]>Don’t worry too much, as there is a fix to this annoying error. Here is how you can fix the black screen error in Palworld.
While the black screen error in Palworld is very unfortunate, the good news is that Pocketpair has acknowledged the issues and clarified that it’s working on a permanent fix. While we wait for the permanent fix to come to light, you should try the temporary fix in this guide.
To fix the black screen error in Palworld on Steam, you must open the game as an administrator. This fix comes from one of the developers on the official Palworld Discord, so we know it is legit. Follow the steps we have laid out for you below to do so.
Related: Is Palworld Coming to Nintendo Switch? Answered
If you are playing Palworld on Xbox Game Pass for PC, there is a similar fix for the black screen error — you must run the game as an administrator. Follow the steps below to do so.
Following the above steps correctly will launch Palworld as an administrator, bypassing the black screen error. You won’t have to repeat the steps if you have saved the settings correctly. Instead, every time you launch the game, you will do so as an administrator. This is the best way to fix the black screen error in Palworld until the developers release an official fix for the issue.
]]>Fast traveling in Palworld boils down to finding large towers with a bird on top, as shown in the image attached. When you first find these towers, they will give off an orange glow, making them easy to spot while exploring. Interacting with the towers will turn them blue, officially unlocking them as a fast-travel point. Once you activate a new tower as a fast-travel point, you can find it on your map.
To fast-travel between towers, you must interact with one of the towers and select the fast-travel option. Doing so will bring up all the fast-travel towers you have activated, allowing you to choose one to fast-travel to. The longer you play, the more towers you will have available, allowing you to jump between locations quickly.
Players can also fast-travel from their home base using a Pal Box, a structure that can be created through the build menu. Like towers, you must interact with the Pal Box and select the fast-travel option, bringing up all the towers you have activated.
Considering you can build a Pal Box whenever you’d like, this allows you to fast-travel whenever you please (as long as you have the necessary materials to build the Pal Box) instead of finding a tower.
The good news is that there are zero repercussions when using the fast-travel system in Palworld, as it doesn’t require any materials from your inventory to do so. I recommend using fast travel as often as possible, as it can make the game more manageable and a better experience overall.
That’s all you need to know about fast travel in Palworld. Just a heads up, a black screen error is affecting players, so be prepared to fix it. Check out our guide on fixing the black screen error in Palworld, so you’re ready if it happens to you.
]]>Simply put, Palworld is not procedurally generated. This means that everything you find on the map is hand-crafted by the developers at Pocket Pair, and you will have the exact same map as other players. Dungeons will be the same, and locations will have the same layout. This also means the regions on all player’s maps will have the same features, such as being really hot or cold, which require you to be prepared before venturing into them.
The only difference between each player’s map will be the location of bases or structures that have been built in that specific world. For example, I set my home base near the first fast-travel point introduced in the game. Meanwhile, your main base could be across the map in a different location.
There has been no information from Pocket Pair on whether they plan to implement procedural generation in the future. That said, the game will continue to get updates, possibly changing the map and adding new locations/regions.
Palworld’s map size is around 16 square kilometers, not the largest we have seen in the gaming space but a decent size for an open-world game. For comparison, Lego Fortnite’s map size is about 95 square kilometers, which is massive. Sixteen square kilometers may not sound like a lot when compared to Fortnite’s take on the survival genre, but it’s still impressive.
Considering Palworld is only in early access, the map may expand as we approach the official release. I find the size of the map to be perfect; where it’s not too overwhelming but still has a ton of areas to explore and secrets to uncover!
]]>With only one Light Cone slot per character and a whole heap of choices, this guide is here to help you make the correct decision with a list of the best Light Cones for each Path and every Character in Honkai: Star Rail — including alternate options for new players and those of us having very little luck with the current banners.
As the name suggests, Destruction characters are all about dishing out heavy damage. On the Fall of an Aeon is generally the best Destruction Light Cone, increasing the user’s Attack whenever they strike an enemy, and Damage on Weakness Breaks.
Something Irreplaceable is also a fantastic choice and a personal favorite of mine, providing a permanent flat increase of 24% – 40% to Attack and a small heal when being hit or defeating an enemy.
I will stand by the testament that The Hunt characters are the best in Honkai: Star Rail, mainly due to my love for the Light Cones available, which makes this particular path shine. Characters that follow the path of The Hunt excel in single-target damage, often relying on Critical hits. In The Night is my go-to as it increases your character’s Critical Rate by 18% – 30% and boosts the damage of their Attack, Skill, and Critical damage of their Ultimate.
Sleep Like the Dead is a stellar option for characters relying heavily on Crit. It is another favorite of mine as it gives the character a flat 30% – 50% increase in Critical damage and their Crit rate when an attack fails to make a Critical hit. This works especially well with Dr. Ratio!
Related: Best Characters in Honkai Star Rail – HSR Tier List
Erudition characters are perfect for simultaneously dealing damage to multiple enemies — commonly known as AoE (Area of Effect) damage across the gaming sphere. Night on the Milky Way and Before Dawn are your best choices for Erudition units, though which you choose depends on your specific character.
Night on the Milky Way increases the character’s Attack based on how many enemies you’re facing and boosts Damage on Weakness Breaks. This works well with characters like Serval and Himeko.
Before Dawn has a flat Critical, Skill, and Ultimate damage increase. Following a Skill or Ultimate being used, the character will gain Somnus Corpus, which provides a massive damage boost when a follow-up attack is triggered.
Harmony characters are the hypemen and women of Honkai: Star Rail, strengthening their allies by buffing them and removing debuffs inflicted by enemies.
But the Battle Isn’t Over is the best Light Cone for all Harmony characters and has helped me the most in battle, as it increases their Regeneration rate and generates a Skill Point when an Ultimate is used on an ally. It also raises an ally’s damage by a considerable amount every time your character uses their skill, which is generally every turn for an Abundance character.
Nihility characters are the opposite of those walking the path of Harmony, instead focusing on debuffing and weakening enemies. In the Name of the World is perfect for every Nihility unit, providing a 24% – 40% increase to the user’s damage against debuffed targets and increasing their Effect Hit Rate and Attack when using a Skill.
Preservation characters are the equivalent of tanks in Honkai Star Rail, shielding your team and often taking the brunt of attacks. This means you’ll need a lot of Defense, and Moment of Victory provides more than enough.
With Moment of Victory equipped, your character gains a permanent 24% – 40% increase to their Defense and Effect Hit Rate. It also increases the chance of being hit by enemies and increases Defense even further when attacked. “Get hit, get paid” is what I like to say.
Abundance characters are your team’s primary healers, with the core goal of keeping your team’s health constantly topped up at the cost of typically outputting little to no damage.
Time Waits For No One is by far the best Light Cone for all Abundance characters. Equipping it will increase your character’s outgoing healing by 12% – 20% and maximum HP by 18% – 30%.
While this alone would make it the go-to choice for an Abundance character, it also passively deals damage based on the healing value of your character when an ally attacks an enemy once per turn — minor extra damage as a treat.
The best 5-Star Light Cones in Honkai Star Rail are In the Night and Before Dawn. As previously mentioned in this guide, these two Light Cones significantly increase the potential of the characters who have them equipped. If you had to pick one of these Light Cones, I recommend picking Before Dawn for the Erudition Path. The significant boost of 36% to CRIT damage cannot be overlooked. This is, of course, only if you prefer to have a character of the Erudition Path in your party.
This guide was written from my experience playing Version 1.0.5 of Honkai: Star Rail on PC.
